The follicular phase begins when you begin your bleed, this is day 1 of your cycle! The follicular phase lasts until ovulation, which is typically day 14 of your cycle. During this phase, it is important to support healthy estrogen levels as it rises preparing for ovulation. This phase we focus on getting enough high quality protein, cruciferous veg, B vitamins, vitamin C, zinc and vitamin E to promote healthy ovulation.
